Irwin Mitchell is one of the largest law firms in the UK. Established over 100 years ago, they offer a broad range of legal services with a human-centric approach.
The brief was to evolve the established agile principle of their successful Manchester workplace. This design had to reflect the specific needs of the Birmingham team and improve efficiency and performance.
A key element of the brief was to design a variety of meeting spaces to ensure their clients felt comfortable and at ease. We gave them fixed meeting spaces, flexible conference rooms, informal meeting rooms and a private breakout facility across the 40,000 sq ft project.
We used neighbourhoods in the general workplace, allowing us to create a space for each team and within each space, areas to collaborate, focus and relax. This included a variety of spaces both in open-plan and cellular format and has provided numerous options and appropriate environments.
We loved working with Irwin Mitchell and the colleagues in the Birmingham team. The energy and sense of team collaboration was at the centre of the brief and workplace delivered.
