BRC is the go-to trade association for all UK retailers. indeed 70% of the retail industry are members.
Having decided to stay in the centre of London, BRC challenged themselves to create a more dynamic workplace to support their diverse meeting requirements and transient work style of the team. Utilising a detailed occupancy study and storage audit, Blue Jelly met with the BRC project team to discuss how they could work more efficiently in the workplace. This covered the need for significant areas for collaboration amongst the team and a requirement for video conferencing.
The result of this was to create a workplace which allowed 80% of the team to work within the Agile Concept developed.
The solution involved a completely re-configurable meeting suite to house anything from a 4 person meeting to seminars for up to 70 visitors. The reception acted as a business lounge and breakout for the meeting rooms.
Within the working areas solutions focussed on efficient technology integration and central filing/storage solutions. Teams were allocated a 'neighbourhood' of work stations which were supported by 5 open plan collaboration areas.
Finally, to support the team culture of BRC a fabulous central kitchen was created. This supported meetings, provided an overflow work area as well as a great place to lunch and chat.
