17 INFLUENTIAL WORKPLACE DESIGN WEBSITES

Sadly, as much as they try, our team of content writers can’t be in all places at once to fuel your design content fix. So we’ve assembled our favourite 17 influential websites related to workplace design, aside from our own. These are sites we at Blue Jelly visit on a regular basis for industry insights, trends or a quick fix of inspiration. We’ve included a ‘relevancy’ indicator, which specifies whether the site covers broader design trends, or information more specific to the office design industry.

On top of this, we’ve explained why each site was nominated for inclusion.

So without further ado please read on below! The sites are listed in no particular order.

It would be remiss of us to not mention individual design bloggers in this list, so here a couple of small sites that are big on inspiration...

Claire Potter Design – Commercial Interior Design

Here at Blue Jelly we pride ourselves on our ‘Green Jelly’ philosophy, meaning we only select sustainable goods and services. We love reading Claire Potter’s design blog ‘The Ecospot’ because it showcases the best and most interesting in sustainable design. The blog is well recognised in the sustainable interior design movement, having achieved the 2015 ‘Eco-Chic’ blogger award and the Green Initiatives 2015 award.

Mad About The House

Whilst not a workplace design focused interiors blog, Mad about the House features plenty of inspiration we find ourselves regularly applying to our work. As the workplace wellbeing trend continues to evolve and grow, we’re seeing traditional ‘home’ style interior design practices make their way into workplace designs, through the use of ‘third-spaces’, ‘break-out areas’ and ‘lounges’. You can find out more about these terms in our blog post Decoding The Modern Office – Glossary Of Workspace Terms.
