Protecting Torbay’s Seagrass with Ocean Conservation Trust

This year we are supporting Ocean Conservation Trust’s Blue Meadows project by fundraising and raising awareness. One of the aims of the project is to protect 10% of all UK seagrass in the next 5 years, approximately 700 hectares!

Working towards that target, Ocean Conservation Trust have protected ALL the seagrass beds in Torbay. By putting 23 protection marker buoys in place, they have highlighted the presence of seagrass meadows and protected over 65 hectares of sensitive seagrass meadows. A big win for seagrass! 🎉
